- Book Your Trip: Travel and accommodations
- If your an employee, Submit vacation time with your employer (if needed). This allows them to set up a temporary replacement if needed.
- If you have a business, inform your customers / clients of your business status during your vacation.
- If there is someone that lives in your travel destination you plan to see, contact them in advance. Don't pop up on them unexpectedly as it may be an inconvenience to them or they may not be home.
- Set up Home sitter, pet sitter, and baby sitter.
- Scan your documents and email yourself a copy

It's a good idea to learn as much about the destination your traveling to. Doing this will make for a better travel experience.
